Know - Act - Connect - Persuade - Be creative

The Climate and Health Council exists to galvanise knowledge and action to protect the environment and human health. As health professionals, we are well placed to take meaningful action themselves and encourage others to do so.

You can take action in five main ways:

  • Know

Get informed about issues related to climate change and global health
  • Act

As a leader and role model in health, reduce the ecological footprint of your own personal actions and the actions of the healthcare organisation in which you work.
  • Connect

Work with your colleagues to address sustainability in your work and learn about the links between health and climate change.
  • Persuade

Advocate for action at all levels, from individuals to local organisations to national and international decision-makers.
  • Be creative

Be innovative - What other interventions can we employ to create a healthier planet?
