Your Council

The Climate and Health Council began in 2007, as a meeting of doctors, nurses and other health professionals recognising the urgency of addressing climate change to protect health.

We aim to:

- articulate and amplify the message about the need to address environmental and climate issues to protect health

- enthuse and connect health professionals (you and your colleagues!) to take action to reduce emissions at home and at work

- consolidate the international health voice calling for effective governmental and UN action to protect health from environmental threats, and climate change

Read The Pledge and Join the Council here

We are  continuously seeking to establish links with health professionals and health institutions from all parts of the world. If you are a health professional and would like to join, you can sign up online. If your organisation would like to work with us, please contact Jess at info@climateandhealth.org.

To find out why we believe that health professionals have a crucial role to play in protecting the environment, read our Charter

A global issue requires a global solution, and a global public health threat requires global mobilisation of health professionals to respond.

All of our board members work on a voluntary basis to further our aims. To contact our board members you can email Robin or Sarah.

We look forward to working with you!
